Rope bondage and restraint are parts of fantasies that many people have. Some enjoy the struggle, the potential for escape, the excitement of capturing and holding another person in captivity, and some enjoy the soothing sensation of being wrapped up and held in bondage. Rope is a versatile toy that can be used for a variety of goals: from a utilitarian restraining tool for further play activities, to a cooperative creation of a sensation-journey to enjoy in itself.

In this interactive workshop, Liz provides safety concerns related to rope bondage, discusses rope material and selection, and provides demos & walkthroughs of basic knots and simple rope bondage ties. There will also be discussion and examples regarding Western and Eastern styles of rope bondage. To finish up the workshop, Liz offers an abundance of resources for continuing to improve your rope bondage skills.

Solo attendees are very welcome; tying yourself up is a common practice in the rope bondage world! Partnered attendees are welcome to switch roles (tying vs. getting tied up) throughout the workshop.

Bio: Liz is a queer, enthusiastic, consent-focused, and welcoming sex educator with a passion for inspiring human connection. Liz has a special love for rope bondage, and enjoys both tying and being tied up, geeking out about technique, and enjoying discussions about consent. When not presenting BDSM workshops, Liz can be found working on their Master’s degree, introverting in their blankets and playing video games, eating Indian food, or hanging out with their reptiles.

As a presenter, Liz provides a comfortable, fun, and exploration-friendly learning environment for all genders, orientations, and experience levels – Liz wants to help you discover your yum!

Liz has been involved in the BDSM scene since 2014, and has presented at several events across the country, including Kinky Kollege, MadTown KinkFest, ROPECRAFT Chicago, Bound in Boston, Tethered Together, Twisted Tryst, Freyja Project Summer & Winter Fests, Satyricon, TNG Madison, and Dark Odyssey: Surrender.

Finally, Liz emphasizes that they are not a medical professional; please evaluate your own risks before participating in kink activities of any kind.
